Euro-Americana

I have always had a fascination with Europe. The majestic scenery, great food, exotic fashion, and gorgeous women have always beckoned me to visit. My tastes in clothing, cars, and sports have turned decidedly Euro in past few years. My suit is an H&M; my next car will be an Audi; and cycling has become my passion. So all that is Euro is goodo, right?

Not exactly... I want to visit Europe. I do not want to BE Europe. The liberals in our country seem bent on being Europe.

After conservatives are elected many liberals make the halfhearted claim, "I'm moving to Canada/France." The problem for me is that I have no where to go. The United States is the bastion of capitalism and self-determination. There is no other free-market, non-nanny state alternative for me.

So while I may give off an air of Euro-snobbery, my heart will be American. I will always strive to return to the principals of this nation's founders; life, liberty, and the pursuit of property.
